So Eryk reached out to me saying he believes he’s made the most advanced Resolve Transition Pack available and he wanted me to test it out and decide for myself. If you are in search of pre-made transition options for resolve I’d say it’s worth checking out for sure.
Now there is an argument to be made for why not make your own transitions, and you can absolutely do that. If you’re so inclined you could certainly dive into fusion go through some tutorials, trouble shoot and practice and end up with some great results custom built to your needs and if you have the time and desire to do that then that’s great. I personally like using packs because I honestly don’t want to dive deep into Fusion right now and this let’s me skip a few steps and deliver the product that my client is requesting in a timely manner. I’m not discouraging against learning new skills, but I would argue that asset packs can certainly be beneficial and I’m happy we’re getting more easy to use option available for Davinci Resolve.
