In today’s video we look at DaVinci Resolve’s new Speed Editor, and if it’s any good for basic edits!
When I first got the Speed Editor, I was a bit skeptical. I had been using the Blackmagic Keyboard for a while and thought that I was going to miss the full set of keys, but man. Let me tell you!
This thing is pretty dang great. I feel like they really thought out what would be the most useful for editing (in the cut page) and made everything super easy and functional. Keys are easy to find and use, and the jog wheel feel fantastic. It really is a joy to use once you get it down. And the name fits: Speed Editor. That’s what it’s all about, getting that first edit cut in record time. I hardly have to think about the process of editing, it just happens.
